What? You're not even going to swing at "turn other fish into weird jellied sludge"? I'm disappointed!
Forgive me my momentary lapse in judgment.

Now we're talking about REAL food.
Now I'm craving a pickled herring, bacon, and okra salad.
Maybe some Shropshire bleu crumbled on top.
Throw in some halved hard boiled eggs, with bacon-bits sprinkled on them!

My friend of Norwegian descent never mentioned Lutefisk (although he always celebrated Syttende Mai and brought in lefse at Christmas). I can only assume that his family was from the half of the Norwegian diaspora that left to quietly escape from lutefisk, rather than the half that left to politely bring lutefisk to their poor cousins who must be missing it by now.

I, just now, unashamedly polished off this jar all by myself.

Well, if the definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results*, then yes, The Thread is insane, since we post the same thing again and again, and expect that THIS TIME, it will be funny or entertaining. But that's no different from the rest of PF, where people post the same thing again and again and expect that THIS TIME, people will realize how smart and right they are (and/or care that the lack/presence of some feature is a deal-breaker for them). The internet is just a crazy place.

*it isn't, but people say it is, so I'll run with it.
But less insane and repetititve than those threads, allegedly on forum topic, which air repeated statements of the same positions in arguments about stuff one can buy.

Last night I made some pickled eggs. Will wait till two weeks now, with them in the fridge. See how it goes.

Got the clear to close yesterday afternoon before I took my nap to be able to work tonight. We're closing Monday. I'm never doing this again.

Like "New York, New York" ... the place so nice, they named it twice.

A bit bummed about the death of Prince ... I was hoping to see him maybe one day in France.

Now you get to look forward to the actual move.
You have my sympathy on that.

I've met Jim's wife, she is a very intelligent and no nonsense lady. If Jim is pregnant, I have no doubt she will leave him.

I'm not into pickled fish or other weird fish concoctions, but a guy that worked for me brought back a large smoked lake trout from his Christmas holiday years ago and it was maybe the best fish I have ever eaten. He grew up in the woods on the shore of Lake Michigan and they had no electricity or other utilities and lived off of firewood for most of their cooking and heating. They were experts at smoking fish and meats.

I thought that distinction belonged the Walla Walla (or 2.4x as in Walla Walla , WA)
