You're gonna have to check one out from the armory.

I would recommend a shotgun

Edit: Realised I might need to qualify that. I mean, Sony cameras would fall apart as soon as you point a pea shooter at them, but a slug from a shotgun would give a far more pleasing experience. And since Sony cameras aren't very fast (trying to be polite here) there's no need for anything fancy or far-reaching.

Bert is slick for a young guy...he switched the subject while no one was looking. I guess a bacon beating will make you look for cover in another topic?

As I sat on the deck this evening I looked down at my hands, they were interlocked and I was twiddling my thumbs.
I'm 69 and don't remember ever doing that, ever, although I remember my late dad twiddling.
Do any of you twiddle?
Here's what it is for you younger folks:

I find a good cure for that is to hold onto something. Like a glass of red wine.

Bourbon was in a glass nearby, but I was in deep meditation.

I don't have time, too busy working. Everyday I get up, have a cuppa joe, do a few things around the house, then have dinner and head for work. After 8, 10 or 12 hours I go home and sleep then repeat the process.

Seven days a week for 2 to 3 weeks.

On the 3rd weekend they can't make us work.

After 128 hours in a quarter they can't make us work overtime.

It's in our contract.

So on those days I work more around the house.

Nope.

I'm too busy to twiddle.

Maybe I should take up fishing. Then I'd have time to twiddle.

Yessiree.

If you come fishing with me you'll be so busy pulling in fish, you won't have time to twiddle anything.

I thought you did that often. I saw the show often enough.

Gin & Tonic...My all time favorite drink. Nothing sweet about it. A twist of lime and it is the perfect drink. No aftertaste the next day, no hangover.
I don't keep it around the house, I'd drink more of it than coffee. Cognac is #2, but a pint of it will last me a year, it's that distant from gin & tonic.

Just observing......it's a sad and troubled world. I get up and read the news on my news page, struggle with the degree of insanity in almost every article.......then come to this thread for some sanity. That's how bad it is out there.
