Google 'Norwegian rocket incident'.
Wow, amazing how far behind you get when you have to do actual work-related stuff at work.

I googled that term and got about 99.9% references to a launch and just-about-fired-the-nukes response, but back in 1995. My guess is that you're talkin something more recent...

I have only piloted an airplane once. it's a job I prefer to leave to calmer people than me!
In my skydiving days, I was only ever worried in a small plane below 1000ft. Above 1000ft I could leave!

Otis has daily questions that he thinks will self-educate him in the ways of humans. I normally flip out some response and he goes away, but he has found most of my answers faulty and wants more educated answers.

Today's question is "what's the difference between an event occurring in broad daylight vs narrow daylight?"

As an object gets farther from a radiating light source the beams of light striking it become fewer, but they become closer to parallel. Therefore, broad daylight vs narrow daylight, though relative, would have to do with the distance from the sun. The Earth would be in broad daylight relative to Uranus, for example.
I thought everyone knew that.

In narrow daylight you need a faster lens.

I sure as hell won't be giving him any answers involving Uranus.

Shirley may very well be right. The ynoS of the FVE has shown its vile face (or at least its profile). The ynoS is in league with the hociR and Tokyo once again is in peril.

Perhaps the OP will return?

I've done this with my kids for years. If they ask a question I really cannot answer, I say: "The answer is pink." If they ask: "Pink???" I say: "Well, it's either that or green." Learnt that from an older and wiser friend!
