Didn't Reagan have dementia? There is your explanation!

Just because we're rich, doesn't mean we aren't cheapskates, especially when it comes to airports. We take great pride in how awful we've made the air travel experience. I haven't been through DCA since the early 90s, and they've built a new terminal since then, but about the best I could say was that it was a short walk to the Metro station.

All of you have given me a cheerful laugh. If I said the things you have said someone would have taken offence and one of the Army of mods would have contacted me. Not nice to have a mod talk to me.

What's the go with pulled pork? Why not just carved/sliced pork?
I just had pulled lamb for dinner (midday meal) and all the while I am 'pulling' it I am thinking (and occasionally quietly saying) "why aren't I just carving this?"
Carving makes it look neater on the plate!! This pulled thingy is just 'fashionable, trendy, in.' and doesn't suit my style. (But I did eat it).

The whole "pulled pork" thing came about because, if you cook it too long, you can't cut it anymore, it just falls apart. So, "pulled pork" is some clever marketing. Now, of course, it's become fashionable. But hey, I like all pork, pulled or not!

Tonight, I made home-made waffles (shout if you want my very easy waffle recipe) with grilled bacon and bananas, served with (real) Maple syrup.

Undoubtedly!

Although not quite up to the same level as the themed parties we used to have. Some examples: "One item clothing party"; "Hat party"; What you wore when the ship went down party".

Racer, there was a euphemistic aspect to my use of the word 'talk'. It is pleasant talking to you when your conversation is just that and not talking qua mod.

I will believe that even though I will not deliberately take action to provoke that response, thereby gaining justification of my belief, and therefore I shall remain without knowledge of the truth of your statement. Some might then reword that to say that I would remain ignorant.
