Quite a few people up here make their own beer and wine, not all of it legal shall we say. A little bit of this and a little bit of that and ferment for a week. The local store ran out of sealift pop and the fly-in cans (255ml) are now $6.18 a can. Yeast, sugar and Welch's Grape juice is significantly cheaper.
Where the heck have you been, Jac?
Long time no write.

I've been hiding-out from Otis's gang and a mob of angry citizens of Cape Dorset. Right after the tire burning episode, the furry little cretins went on a spree that made Sherman's march through Georgia look like a pillow-fight. They forced us to strike the Nunavut territorial flag and put up one with a big, white star on the left-hand side.

Jac, welcome back.
I thought of you the other day.
I thought, "I wonder where Jac has gone?"
Then I thought, "Probably gone over to the dark side, and bought...

...a Sony".

That's perfectly acceptable. As long as it wasn't a K-3 you're good.
Are you surprised to see the thread alive and well?

Maybe more like being repatriated to an insane asylum?

Still...it's good to see you again. I'll inform Otis of your return, he has asked about you many times.

Funny how people disappear here...some to return and some never to be heard from again. It could be some people regain their sanity and leave...or go totally insane and can't find their way back? Or...it could be the damn squirrels got 'em?

Regards!

It was close. I fended them off by tossing beer nuts. Gets 'em every time.

There are plenty of very good beers, and most will suffice if you are hot and thirsty. There are some that are horribly bad too. Those you don't tend to forget. I bought some "Big Flats" at Walgreens once...$1.29 a six pack or something like that.....and even the raccoons refused it, and they will drink most anything.

Regards!
Rupert, what did you expect of the Big Flats at that price? It would cost more to collect the dishwashing water from the sink and bottle it and ship it to the shop.
