A place that calls round slices of ham bacon? I don't think so! Anyhow, on the maps we got in school here, Texas was bigger than Canada. Since Texas has grown since those days, I assume it is a lot bigger now.

My death wish came from a bottle of Mad Dog 20-20.
Nearly 50 years later and I still cringe at the thought.
This stuff wouldn't polish shoes, it would eat them up like acid.

In Texas we call that a "pocket pistol".

That has the most foul taste of anything you could drink. I have never understood why anyone would drink it more than once.

At his funeral his coffin was unloaded from the train at the nearest train station to where I live. There is a sign on the fence just by the ticket machine to say so.

Wow. Anisette and Tequila. Nuts! Did some strawberry shortcake moonshine couple decades ago, cant remember a thing. Wife was more than happy to fill in the blanks...
Good thing there was no social media back then!

Yep...in Mexico they have the genuine thing..not "decorative" Anisette and it is damn near deadly.

I've just read about arrangements for his funeral ... appropriately impressive!

I am starting my mornings opening that User Control Panel....it makes me feel so much better and inclusive to see that new infraction. It means someone notices me, that I exist, that I matter...even if in a negative way. It lets me know that even with two broken feet, a twisted knee, and dementia inherited at birth....all is not lost. I am still a "Rupert Type".....and if fortunate, will always be!

Who say the Mods are mean and evil guys! If they can take the time to care about old Rupert, they are pretty good fellows!

Do not confuse those with "Rupert Types". Those are mentally insane......I only have moderate to severe dementia, and fly Old Glory on the 4th of July...and every other day too!

My Great-Great Grandpa is buried just down the road...with a headstone of the Union Army. He fought for that cause and so would I. So did my Dad and my youngest son.......they fought for Old Glory. It is only the mentally insane that won't recognize their...and millions of others.... contributions to the nation....a Great Nation......still!
