He last used the forums 5 days ago. That is not too long away. Maybe his repairs have impeded his capacity to participate - sitting might be a problem, or the rest of life might take longer so he has not the necessary time.

On the way home tonight I stopped off at the supermarket and saw the headline on the front page of the paper. The was a headline about a Bong 737 [sic] that had come out one of the big sheds owned by Racer's boss. The story was that during a BA flight the smell of bong smoke was noticed, and some of the flight staff became a little unwell, so the flight had to return to whence it came. A few days ago there was a report of a flight out of a London airport which did not happen because the pilots were discovered to be inebriated to an extent prohibited by their role in aviation. it was some airline I am not familiar with, probably one of the low cost ones that pushes staff to the absolute limit of the rules permitted in the industry.

Bong smoke?

Do you mean the smell of marijuana burning?

No thanks, I am ready for a Bloody Mary though, it's five o' clock somewhere.

Don't you know? Norm's typing with his toes while his hands are busy operating the camera to get us those bear shots. Can't type touch with only one leg operational, you know.

It is too hot in Michigan this Friday night!
Here is one to keep the mind off the heat for a while.
Part of it was described as an Arizona Mule, by a flight attendant out of Pheonix,

I modified it, to include The Brits, The Aussies, and The Ruskies

In a big glass

4 cubes of ice
1/2 shot of Schweppes Lime Juice Cordial https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_38435/schweppes-cordial-lime-juice....?bmUID=lo90NOT
one 1/4 shot of squeeezed lemon juice
1 ( or 2! ) shots of Stoli Stolichnaya Premium Vodka

Fill to the brim with Bundaberg Ginger Beer https://www.bundaberg.com/en-us/

Missing in action; jac from Nunavut.
He was obviously hibernating during the northern winter, and I did see one post from him a little while ago, but where is he?

Update;
I just checked on jac's profile, and he disappeared in May 2015, reappeared in June 2016; there was a flurry of posts for a week or so and then gone again!

Dumas was involved in several French political scandals and it could be said that he acted "politically" in an "incorrect" manner ... it's not a very clever play on words ... there's a lot on him (and written many years ago about him).

Edit - some old info from the Guardian (2000) : https://www.theguardian.com/world/2000/mar/02/eu.politics

Here in Texas we try to keep our best Dumbasses in spots where we can keep an eye on them. Historically that has been in the Governors office, the high elected offices like the Senate and House...and other spots where they can set an example for what not to do for others. Our record is among the best in the world for the biggest blunders, purest idiots, and biggest loud mouths......... not amazingly, we are proud of it!

Many cures have been tried. Recently it was thought that some thick rim glasses could cure a severe case of Dumbass.....but as always, it was a total failure.

Many have just come to accept that "you can't fix stupid".
