I read where 7 of 10 NFL home viewing parties serve Rotel dip....made with Velveeta, of course. The most popular dip by a wide margin. Do the math.....some NFL games draw record numbers of viewers....millions and millions!
So if we are wrong about Velveeta, we have a lot of company!

Grilled cheese......can't beat Velveeta. One of my favorites is scrambled eggs with a couple of Velveeta slices melted in at the end of the cooking process. If you try it, you won't scramble again without it! Keeps the eggs moist and the flavor is so wonderful! Or...just slice off a big chunk and eat it. It's delicious all by itself....or on a big flaky biscuit from Aldis! (.99 cents for a can of eight!)

You don't need political strife, grievances of all natures, or a lousy govt to get riots in the streets. All you need is to remove Velveeta from the grocery shelves of America and angry mothers will burn this nation to the ground!

Keep your fancy high priced cheeses, the masses want Velveeta! As American as apple pie or Mom! You guys are not anti-American....are you???

True story....a couple of weeks ago I was in Krogers, don't go there much but needed a few specialty items they carry. I was in the Dairy Section and there was a young lady with a little girl, maybe two year of age?.....the kid was squealing her lungs out wanting something she saw that was apparently one of her favorite treats. The Mom kept saying no. Then as she moved along with the squealing kid, the Mom stopped and picked up the large size package of single sliced wrapped Velveeta, opened the package and unwrapped a slice for the squealer. End of squealing..instantly! Yep, Moms know best, and so do little kids!

Maybe your Moms handed you a lutefish? Nowadays that is considered child abuse!

No Ratol needed with lutefish.....you just have to be very careful with your utensils...

I'm done...back to the easy life now that I can barely walk or move. If it is a place where you can hurt...I do.

Yesterday I decided to go ahead and replace the ancient Delta tub faucet on Mrs Rupert's garden tub. After the pedestal lavatory nightmare, this was not a good decision coming so close to my day before adventure in plumbing. But...I had a helper available and this job requires a helper...it's a top & bottom job.

First you get out the old faucet and supply lines.

Here is where you start...remove the piano and get to the access cover that opens to the underside of her bathroom, which is built up over a concrete slab to allow for the sunken tub.


Then you remove the cover and try to fit your body under there far enough to do the job of removing frozen nuts that have been on there 25 years...You have a little less than 16 inches to do the job.


About 5 hours later, bruised and bleeding, spider webs covering your face and body, you are finished. A new Kohler faucet, supply lines and drain assembly. Mrs Rupert smiles when she gets home....gets naked and you tell her it is not enough.....now you need two lenses instead of one!


Looks great in there......I can barely walk today and I am not kidding...and it has nothing to do with Mrs Rupert getting naked!

Not handsome, but damn handy!

Yep, it's a fact......My Mom raised us on Velveeta, bacon, and Rice Krispies...she was a wonderful Mom...just look how great I turned out!

If you look even closer you can see that big slice of bacon in the Velveeta sandwich...so we know this was not young Bert and his Mom!
