Probably less of a headache than cheap Bordeaux! (And this in no means should be misconstrued to imply that Jean may or may not be a headache. I have nothing but kind words for Jean!!!)

I'm bettin' that can shine some shoes like crazy!

I've been very liberal with the roasted peanuts and it is starting to show on the Jays......Normally lean and sleek, they are starting to resemble fat squirrels.
Nice shots of the Jays! How many burlap sacks of peanuts do you go through per week?

Too many! Between the Jays and squirrels it is tough keeping enough around, but i do! Squirrels will go for the black oil sunflower seeds over anything, but not the Jays, they will fight for roasted peanuts!

LOL, yes Rob! But, in 1978 that was not an overly expensive bottle of wine. Neither were these!
Awww, what a shame. They are all way past their "best before" date! Let me help you take care of those, will you. Just pack them carefully before shipping, ok?

Ah, reminds me of two 'murkins I met in Kenya many years ago. They met and introduced themselves to each other:
- Hi, I'm Hawk - like the bird of prey
- Hi, I'm Jay - like the bird that annoys people

Yep...Jays are loud and annoying birds. However, they serve a purpose. If there are any predators like cats or snakes around, the Jays sound the alarm fast and loud. They seem to notice everything.

We all need a cellar like this. (Not mine - but I did design and assemble the racks)

All cut on a special C&C machine. The racks are adjustable and can accommodate anything from 375ml to 1.5l bottles, with optimal storage around 750ml bottles, in most bottle shapes. The rear rail is movable, so the front always stays in the same location, but the rear can move up and down to allow smaller or bigger bottles to lie flat.

That is pretty neat! You could polish a lot of shoes with that collection!

Mine is a little more simple.....since I am in Aldis 2-3 times a week, I let them house my supply, but do keep a couple of bottles on hand at all times.

I think I am acquiring a taste for the Winking Owl Shiraz....which is kind of scary.

Mrs Rupert is Googling for squirrel recipes....I wonder why?

Looks more like art than a meal Mark. Almost too good looking to eat.

In the cupboard?

Jim, you're supposed to keep the wine in the cellar. Cold, damp, dark.

I'm here ... just rolled in from several days in the "no-Internet-land" of the deep Cantal region. Spent some time at the family country house in Auliadet ... 50+:1 ratio of cows to person per square hectare ... and still trying to catch up ...

Nearest "real" village ... Peyrusse seen from the cemetery where Flo's paternal grandparents are ...
