Now there is an owl screeching in the trees to the North side of the house, about 50 feet away from the window.

I'm sitting here at 1:54 am local time. Just got home from work, and signed on here. The room I'm in is upstairs in my house, it has been warm and the windows are all open, and the room is pleasantly cool, and summer fresh.

Peaceful.

So anyaway, I'm cruising Pentax Forums, catching up on the day's happenings and discussions, in this pleasant late night air. Suddenly, in the woods nearby, begins the most eerie sounds.

Howling.

Yipping.

Screeching.

Then the neighbors dogs up the road start barking.

What the heck?

I go out on the porch that faces East, away from the river, towards the woods. The sounds are crazy, and spooky. Then I realize, it is a pack oh coyotes bickering. It didn't sound like the dogs got involved, only the coyotes.

Such an eerie sound they made.

All quiet now.

Too quiet maybe.

Hope we aren't about to have another earthquake.
Sounds like a Stephen King book.

we have coyotes, several different species of owl... some nights can be creepy if you aren't used to it...

earlier in the week, a coyote decided to cross the south lawn, and stopped halfway across to call to the rest of its group..... pretty much about 50ft from where I was sitting inside...

LOUD and startling....

Looks mighty tasty Bob.

Makes me hungry.

Time for the second cup of coffee, and whip up a bowl of cereal or something.

If it hasn't, I guarantee you it will.

Here is some fancy grilled watermelon. Don't see any bacon, but there is a bunch of other stuff. Looks like fruit, on top of fruit.

I dunno, might be good.

Then there is this delicious looking bacon wrapped prawn, on top of a slice of grilled watermelon. Nice presentation. I'd give it an 8 for that alone.

Not sure exactly what this is, but it looks tasty. Bacon wrapped onion rings maybe?

Oh, look.

Someone has these tasty looking bacon wrapped watermelon bites. Sounds like something you can find in the frozen foods case at your local MalWart.

Just take 'em outta the freezer, pop 'em in the oven and in minutes the kids got a tasty snack on a nice summer day.

These might be more suitable for the Ratol and Velveeta crowd.
