Yes, it has been a wet late spring and early summer in the Great Pacific Northwet.

I was inside playing chanter most of the time.
Or in Mod tents playing full pipes.
I was starting to get real worried about you Bert. I mean, not liking bacon, etc... Until I learnt you like the bagpipes! That makes you sufficiently odd to hang out here in the madhouse, with the rest of us nutters!

Yes that is a chanter but I mean practice chanter:
I figured a chanter was some little guy you carried around to do chants at rallies or just for the fun of it.

It's genuine Velveeta cheese...wonderful stuff. Aldis doesn't carry it but it is available at all the other places in town.....I never run out of Velveeta. The bacon shortage was a freak accident....but I just stocked up and it won't happen again.

Tonight some BLT with sharp cheddar. Some Aldis great potato salad ($2.29 for 2 lbs) and corn chips (.79 cents a big bag)

Mrs Rupert went with me to Aldis and said I have too many girlfriends there and all the hugging and cheek pecks made her think the personnel there must be "a little on the trashy side". Hey...you are the one that married me!
Bacon was allowed to temporarily decline to zero stock. Was that because you were thoroughly enjoying it without cognisance of the remaining stock?

Are you familiar with the word "oxymoron"?
I quote someone in the Australian parliament in 1987 or 1988: "Corporate governance in Japan is an oxymoron".

Mostly practice chanter rather than full pipes.
Did some highland games. 3rd in caber toss, 2nd in sheaf toss and 5th in rock toss. Around 5th in highland dancing.

Bad compared to home food.
God's meal compared to velveeta :swear:

Rain all of July everyday and rain into most of August.

I actually ate bacon a few mornings...
Bag piping for six weeks.

How was the haggis?

Apparently if Scotsmen eat haggis it makes them strong enough to conquer over many Englishmen - they like to dream.

Typical expression when one realizes that their yellow box of golden melty goodness is empty.

Here is the truth.....I thought I had an extra box of bacon so the 8 slices remaining in the open box (Pre-cooked $2.89 @ Aldis) were added to a nightly meal for the raccoons......with half of those going to my little "runt of the bunch" buddy that follows me around every night. Unfortunately, I did not have an extra box as I thought.....or maybe I did and Mrs Rupert ate it all?

Mister...can I have more bacon?

To be clear, you like offal pudding stuffed in an animal's stomach, but not bacon?
Maybe your problem is that Canadian "bacon" made from loin and tastes like ham.
