I bet the bacon will work well in there, too

Still out at sea - with agonisingly slow Internet connection. I guess it's hard to avoid when a boat load of people share some kind of satellite link... But they had some excellent bacon at the breakfast buffet here. Looking forward to a repetition tomorrow morning.

Apart from that, well... Travelling by boat is booooooring. Haven't done this in decades and now I know why Nope, I'd rather go through the idiocy of the airport "security" and an hour of misery on the plane than hours and hours and hours of sloshing through waves.

I guess I should never try going on a cruise. Even the best bacon in the world wouldn't be worth it.

We keep the Flag flying here....Mrs Rupert insists. I get the job of keeping it properly displayed when the wind twists it up......and would prefer to only display it at special dates.....but she insists it fly daily.

Respect...yes...but I don't get tangled up in all that controversy over the Flag. You want to show respect and gratitude...visit a VA hospital and shake the hands (if they have hands) of those that have given for the reasons we salute the Flag. There is a certain hypocrisy of Flag worship when so many have given so much and we too often ignore their sacrifices.
Once a year, here, we have ANZAC day. Very important day for (most) New Zealanders.

Today's lunch, bacon wrapped dog.
And a deep fried Twinkie (found in the freezer section at your friendly WalMart)
Rob - It seems you always eat well!
I did not know you could still buy Twinkies! There's something I've not seen for 20 years at least!

Lovely pictures of some delicious looking "fat-pills" and bacon...
It cost me a tire to be able to keep cooking Bacon, Baby-back ribs and Boston Butts.
3662 miles on this one!

The one that is worn out
The one on the left has 8000 air miles on it but they don`t count, only road miles do!

That's not bad mileage, actually. I only get around 2100 miles on mine.

Tough day today.....I'm going to bed early tonight..it's a two glass shoe polish night.

I'll leave you guys with this thought......

There are big peckers and there are little peckers.....both appear to get the job done, despite any skepticism regarding size related abilities.

Little Pecker- Big Pecker

Regards!

(Mrs Rupert came in as I was posting this and read it....she didn't get it.....only said "Aren't they cute!") For the record....I've never heard "ain't that cute."

The one on the right is nicely prepared for use in F1 races now, except it should be a bit wider.
