just out of interest - do you have a Lightroom user preset called 'Squirrel'?
No...I don't use Lightroom...but my new K1 has a factory installed "S" for squirrel shooting setting. Works very nicely too!

If you are not picky you can go in the Menu and set it to Auto Squirrel....like this one...

1/40 handheld @500mm f6-3 ISO 500.......does pretty decent!

Here it chose 1/25 handheld @ 450mm f6.3 ISO 250

Sure makes squirrel shooting so easy!

Regards!

Nighty nite! Just in case anyone is curious....a16 oz jar of sliced jalapenos eaten at one sitting will easily overcome a liberal application of Butt Putty.

Hopefully a hydrodcodone pill and a big glass of red shoe polish will get me some relief so I can sleep?

Mrs Rupert tried to warn me...but I didn't listen. She said...."Don't be stupid!" ...but they were so delicious on those big nachos.

So today, I would like to ask that all of you take a moment to remember.

Remember forever.

A little bit of every person on the planet died that day.

Every last one of us.

IIRC, in France the next morning, the Le Monde newspaper declared: "Today, we are all Americans."

Yes, it felt like, for a while anyway, that the entire world population had suddenly become closer.

Regrettably, as administrator in this ancient Flickr Pentaxian site, I felt a need to warn my fellow posters there of some apparent dangers if/when they visit PForums. We are language neutral there, so open at your own risk.....and fear not if you feel the need to use minor vulgarities......we haven't had any virgin ears there in years!
Unfortunately this is true everywhere on Flickr. I run 2 groups on Flickr and on both there is less activity now than there was a couple of years ago. I estimate Flickr is running at 30-50% activity levels compared with a couple of years ago - this is based on # of views of the photos I have that are in the default set shown to every new signup.

The next page behaves bizarrely for me. It seems that I cannot make a reply.

---------- Post added 09-12-16 at 05:14 AM ----------

Well, now it seems I have been able to log in to this particular page. I was concerned that something had happened and the thread had been closed.

9/11, immensely sad. And a very significant change in the world as we experience it. I find that these memorials also bring to mind other major events which hi closer to home for me and so become part of a bigger set of major things that are, and are worthy of being, memorialised.

Like you can see that there is another page of posts, say you are on page 1943, and the next shows as 1944, and when you click it it keeps refreshing 1943?

I think every one of us knows exactly where we were, the moment we heard news of the first plane hit. And we keep remembering. For us, 9/11 was yesterday. So, while I spent the better part of the day in a course (fun for a Sunday, I know!) I was thinking of this event. They will forever be in our memories.
