And a bit further up the road from Ocean Park is an historic town, Oysterville. I went out that way a couple of times during this trip, and rediscovered something I found about 35 years ago.
That's right, a Ford Flathead V8 engine, partially buried in the seawall.
I saw this the first time I visited the area back in the early 1980's, and shot some images of it on film. During this trip I was out exploring a bit. I had stopped and stepped out of the car, and while standing on the berm something drew me to walk around some.
As I was walking about I nearly stumbled over it.
It surprised me how so many years later I walked right up to the very place I had been so long ago.
Now I need to budget some time and rediscover the film images of this scene.
