Mmmm, bacon... Even T2 diabetes did not keep me from bacon.

It did reduce the amount consumed, however... And, happily, dropping 45 lbs of bodily mass got the internals back into balance and off the medications. Still have to watch the diet, though. Dangit!

Yeah, I'm interested in a lot of things that bore a lot of people, Mark. :-D

But I'm a cycling bore as well as a photography one, so you'll have to take me out on a ride, too - road or MTB, I don't mind. We can have a Castle Lager or Speights depending on who you're following in the rugby!

We have some of the best road cycling options in the country right here in the Wairarapa, so you'll have to bring your road bike. Castle? Not, never cared for that. I was a Black Label man or Bosuns Bitter fan. Welcome to Mitchells Brewery | Mitchells

Speights is OK, but the local favourite, Tui, does nothing for me. Failing which, we can always settle for a VB!

There was a time, during my younger years when, I'm somewhat embarrassed to say, that I thought Foster's was a really good beer.

Yeah, the mainstream draught beers from Australia were pretty good to consume during a hot summer, but over reliance on them by consumers meant the States ended up being at least a decade in advance on the craft beer front, which is where it's at, these days.

When it's hot, and the beer is cold, damn near anything can be considered "a good beer" The one in your hand beats the one that tastes better but isn't in your hand <grin>
