Curcumelons, no one has ever mentioned curcumelons, let me be the first as I have discovered a productive vine of them growing in my front garden.

They taste good, like mini cucumbers.

Is this a volunteer?

Yes, a volunteer. Evidently one of my gardening neighbors is growing them and the visiting birds have conveniently seeded it for me.

I suppose I could chime in and follow Sherrvonne's lead with a food related discovery I recently made. I love to eat cheese and have been doing it my whole life. My grandfather was in charge of a cooperative cheese factory a long time ago but cheese making since then has progressed to the point that I was confronted with this:

Cheese with samphire! It is delicious and is made on a island of the Dutch coast. As soon as I made this discovery I went back to the store and bought the rest of it preserved in plastic... No I won't be without the stuff for the foreseeable future! I wonder if there are more people with a favorite addition to their cheese?

It's tiny, the little curcumelon.

I never heard of Samphire, had to look it up.
