Add the benefits from the preservatives in Velveeta and you have a real winner.
Yep, with a shelf life of near 100 years, think what that Velveeta is preserving in our bodies that would otherwise waste away in no time! Truly a miracle health food that is also delicious! I'd like to think that we are the "select few" that recognize this, but there are millions, maybe even billions more that crave Velveeta and have found the Fountain of Youth in a box!

Regards!

Still have gravy and Velveeta, but out of biscuits....a slice of Aldi 100% wheat will do the trick! ($1.29 a big loaf)

Wash it down with Aldi skim milk ($1.29 a gallon) ...gotta watch your diet, you know!

Now I need a nap, but I have other things not to do on my day off.

never run out

all from your favorite market

a cup or two of their baking/pancake mix
add enough yogurt (remember you are leaving room for gravy) to make a thick dough
drop by large spoonfuls into your lightly greased skillet (medium heat)
flip before they brown too much
cover with gravy...devour

alternatively using their inexpensive tortillas
heat a couple in a lightly greased skillet (I toss a little cayenne or smoked paprika into the oil)
roll velveeta cheese-like dairy product and bacon or sausage bits (or even spam crumbles) into the tortillas
cover with gravy...devour

grits work nicely as well but our aldi store doesn't stock them
or velveeta for that matter...they only stock fake velveeta

happy breakfast

note: you can substitute sour cream.or any of the solid fats for yogurt
but i'm just thinking of your waistline

Velveeta is not "cheese-like"...it is genuine real Velveeta cheese...just like Cheddar is real cheese, not just "cheese-like" cheddar.

For the record....the Aldi Velveeta substitute is very good, and has a more cheddar-like taste than Velveeta. It is a bit too salty for me, but in small amounts it is pretty good stuff. You just can't sit and eat a whole box of it at one sitting like you can Velveeta.

You know, I have snobby friends that won't shop Aldis and say it is a store for the poor and "low class". I love to open my check register and ask them if I have enough in there to shop at their fancy high priced store?

Aldi is a small store, easy to walk/shop, they have great quality products, fantastic prices, and helpful employees. I left my reading glasses at home one day and since Ialways read the labels, one of the girls escorted me my entire visit and read every line of ingredients etc on the products I wanted......you don't get that at Krogers!

...did I mention Winking Owl wines...just $2.89 and will give your shoes a shine that can blind you!

Two seasonal items in their stores now not to miss....Butterfly shrimp, can be oven baked and they are delicious with a thick crunchy batter....$3.99 a box of plenty!

Potato crusted cod fillets, also can be oven baked and are wonderfully good! $4.99 a box of 6 nice sized fillets.

Going to Aldis today...I need milk and biscuits...and wine...and who knows what else I may find? Always something new and interesting at Aldis!

Regards!

Just don't shoplift and pull a gun on the store guard.
Police ID shoplifter fatally shot by Aldi guard Saturday night

Made my blueberry cream pie yesterday and got the baking mix, cream, eggs, and blueberries at Aldi.

Hmm. Pointed a gun at an armed guard.
He was probably just afraid getting caught would make him late to his MENSA meeting.

My problem is all in my belly....nowhere else. I want to ask my Doc about it, but I fear I may be pregnant....when I can see over my belly, it appears a tiny wrinkled trunk is hanging out......?

I know you are a busy man, that Weber demands constant attention, but take a few moments between grilling duties and PM me that recipe.

I think I posted it earlier, but here it is in case anyone else wants it.
Good stuff if you like custard pie and blueberries.

Impossible blueberry cream pie
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup Bisquick, or other brand baking mix
1 cup whipping cream
1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
blueberries

Heat oven to 350°. Spray a pie plate with oil.
Beat all ingredients until smooth. Pour into plate, sprinkle blueberries over the top, as many or as few as you like.
Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 to 40 minutes.

like my last Chevrolet was a real American truck
assembled in texas with genuine Mexican parts
though thinking on it...that is american just not American

the aldi cheese-like dairy product appears to be the same as the commodity cheese-like dairy product I attempted to teach some underemployed co-workers to cook with
good enough in a pinch or transformed into queso dip

finally aldi pays their staff more than most local grocers
and yes as a rule they are much more helpful

It seems you have strongly held opinions but water is cheaper than winking owl or any other three dollar wine
and it tastes better

I've said it before...people like what they like

This guy just finished off a big meal of sap.....that's what I'm gonna do to that pie when I make it!

Yes they do and often with very good reason! There are many more reviews of this wine, and all of them are just as good! Seems we poor and "low class" people are not as dumb as suspected??
Why a $3 Wine from Aldi Is Worthwhile - METASIP

At almost a bottle a night, $3 is a bargain, in particular since no wines tickle my taste buds, regardless of price. These are the most inoffensive of the many I have tried, some at over 20-30 times the price.

IMO- No wine beats a superb ale or fine shot of cognac.....some good gin will do me better too. Same with a good Scotch.....and there are plenty of excellent beers that knock the cork out of a bottle of wine.

I drink it because it keeps arteries clear, and if you can stomach the taste, it helps you sleep like a baby!...not to mention keeping your shoes nice and shiny!

Regards!

If we are exchanging recipes in here I have the one I use for chili. Mine is 2 pounds of ground sirloin, 1 pound of ground pork loin, 4 roma tomatoes, 2 tomatillos, 3 anaheim peppers, 1 bell pepper, 1 single serve cup of apple sauce, 2 jalapeno peppers, 2 habanero peppers, 4 tbsp chipotle paste, 4tbsp garlic powder, 4tbsp onion powder, 4tbsp paprika, 8 tbsp chili powder, 4tbsp coriander, 4tbsp ground cumin, 2 tbsp salt, 2 tbsp white pepper, and 1/8 cup of olive oil.

Mix all your powders and put them to the side.

Take your peppers and de-seed them, chope them up some, then drop them in a blender with the tomatoes and apple sauce. Blend until you just have fine pieces left, but don't puree it. Set it aside.

Take your ground beef and pork and stick it in a nice deep pot (think like you do spaghetti in) and brown it. Drain as much of the grease as you can off of it when you get it mostly browned.

Now, take your olive oil, chipotle paste, and meat and mix like mad. When that is thoroughly mixed add the dry seasonings that you mixed together earlier and mix thoroughly into the meat mix. Turn it on medium low heat and add in the stuff from the blender. Bring it to a simmer and keep it there for an hour or so. Then eat. It might be a little spicy for some, so you can cut down on the jalapenos and habaneros, and cut the pepper powders in half, but if you do so you are weak and unmanly.

Wanting to test out things for more astrophotography, and yet here is the forecast. I am beginning to wonder if a certain moderator from a certain place that is known for being cloudy and wet somehow convinced someone to send their weather here.
