Uh, harsh

I saw a fox in the middle of the city on a run recently, by the way. Stopped and marvelled at that beautiful creature for a second, until it disappeared in a flower bed.

Is that the same Volkswagen ruler that measures exhaust emissions?

:devilish:

That's where the idea came from.

I got hurt by that. I had had good experience of VWs before and bought one on the Saturday of the weekend before the emissions scandal blew out. Second hand, but these things affect the value all the way down the ownership chain.

Twenty feet!??!?!

Mount Baker Ski Area usually gets about that much.

But it is the top of a mountain. And at over 10,000 feet one would expect some winter snow.
Try this web site: The Keweenaw Snow Thermometer

The 'snow thermometer' is located about 12 miles north of our house. For those of you handy with maps, the Keweenaw Peninsula is the piece of Michigan's Upper Peninsula that juts way out into Lake Superior. We get cold wind from our friends in Ontario on the other side of the Lake and it picks up moisture from the Lake on its way across. When the wind hits the Keweenaw from almost any non-southerly direction, that moisture dumps as snow.
