Looks good, but I'm thinking they copied our Bangers.
Not quite. They are essentially a hotdog made with the same meat used in red hots, but it is uncured with some spices added. They have been a staple around here since the 1920's. Places even 60 miles away have never heard of them. Another name for them is porkers.

As to an original garbage plate, it simply has to be experienced.

I notice the pipers are on the beach half a mile away.

I too can generally tolerate them half a mile away if Paul McCartney is nearby.

I once saw these guys in concert at the Mariposa Folk Festivaland and bought one of their tapes. Which was subsequently borrowed by a friend and never returned (how weird is that? Pipe music stolen by a friend.) . This is not the music I heard but similar.

Ye Gods and Fluffy Kittens, I *LOVE* getting lost in the Youtube world... You never know what you're going to find.

"Paean to wretched excess" would be a great band name. Especially if they include lots of headbanging pipers!

Just a reminder, folks.
We need a bit over 3,300 posts between now and Oct 10th to maintain a 10,000 posts per year average.
Must be the first time we're ahead of schedule

I don't need or appreciate your admonishment.

Gjetost.
That spelling was deprecated in the 1938 orthography reform. If it even survived the 1917 reform.

Not that I'm saying you're old or anything...
