Blueberry pancakes this morning, hot off the griddle.
I had nicely burnt pancakes for breakfast... bloody bear disrupted us and they were left cooking away...

Well, as of today, it's final. I no longer own a bicycle shop.
As a result of my accident last January I'm no longer able to operate it. Too much standing, lifting, etc., so I sold it to my brother-in-law.
I had it nearly 20 years so there are several emotions and thoughts going through my mind but the predominant one, by far, is
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Free at last, free at last! Thank God Almighty, I'm free at last!

It's too bad Rupert and I don't live closer. We could sit on the porch sipping Geritol on the rocks, comparing aches and pains.

Bears don't go through the fence. Except this morning. When we forgot to turn it back on after milking goats. And the bear felt like taking apart beehives. But luckily he didn't feel like eating goats.
sometimes just because it works now doesn't mean it always will

rebar corrodes so quickly that your clamp probably won't maintain a god connection over time

even dry soil affects the quality of the ground
more than once I had to empty my water cask or provide a bodily fluid in august to make things work correctly

but I do as I will...i'm sure you will too

Just doesn't seem like a smart idea... I'm not that fond of touching with my hand let alone...

Yes, though not a big deal to worry about muscle contraction with an electric fence, as it is lots of separate shocks and not a constant stream. But good idea anyway. We have got a fence tester now, I don't know why as the fence doesn't even hurt, but everyone (myself included) is reluctant and skittish to touch the fence.

Yep, life is good when you can take it easy and enjoy! Now if you can get Mrs Jim to work until age 80, you will find much more joy in your new situation and status....trust me!

Back in my surveying days, before electronics, we measured with a 100 foot solid steel tape (still called it a chain) with a leather thong on each end.
Fun times were when we got around an electric fence and could catch the guy on the other end of the chain unaware.
