He set the record in 10 October, 1978.

That record remains unbroken today.

He is building another boat to try and beat his own record.

They race boats of like that on San Francisco bay every year; or used to anyway. I don't know if they still do or not.
It's all fun and games until one hits resonance frequency and disintegrates.

Other than motorcycle, and excessive fire way too close to people, I have no idea.

And I'm a gearhead.

Looks like a mid 2000s Ford diesel pickup in regen.

They are.

Watch how close the US and NZ boats get to each other.

Apparently some less than bright reporter wondered how they get the lines on the water to stay in place.

It would be nice to get a check-in from Rupert, hope all is going well with him.
Yeah I'm the worrying type, been that way all my life.
I envy Mrs Bob since she's a What, Me Worry? type.

I'm a bit concerned too, Bob.
The last we heard from him was 48 hours ago when he said he was going to see another doctor.

Sorry....not been up to posting or much of anything the last couple of days. I did not get a good report. Could have been worse, but it was not good. On top of that, running all over the place for tests at different places wore me out and set me back considerably. I felt a lot better the day before all this than the day after. The schedule is to get more rest and stay inside out of this high humidity and heat....yet I have more test places to go tomorrow and next week?

Not what sure what comes next....I'm sorta out on a limb without a ladder.

"I could use a good ladder!"

On a brighter note: The little "oh so tiny" kitty is still going strong. He/she? eats well and sleeps a lot......like me!
Mrs Rupert has been coming home at lunch to feed him and I fill in once in the morning and afternoon. We moved him into the house because it is getting so hot, even in my well insulated shop with an exhaust fan. If he lives (cross your fingers!) Mrs Rupert has already found a good home for the little feller!

So all news is not bad news...if you're a tiny kitty!

Regards!

Thanks for updating us, even if the news isn't good news, yet.
Continued wishes for an improvement soon.
Maybe being on a limb is better than being on a roof?

Glad you're still alive and kicking, Jim.
Now get better!

BTW, how much money you reckon it cost to have the doctors tell you to stay out of the heat and get some rest?
