Oh. Actual work? I'm sorry to hear that

In honor of reaching this milestone I offer this little limerick for your appreciation.....

There was a young man from Kent.

Who dropped his K-3 and it bent.

He's followed this thread,

and in terror and dread,

He bought a K-1 to repent.

This place seems to have even cheaper kilts, never heard of them before: Utility-Tartan-Tactical And Leather Kilt - All Kilts Sports
$20-60 for an Acrylic kilt (depending on pockets, etc..)
$110-150 for a leather kilt (dpending on pockets, etc...)

May need to give them a go...

I hadn't heard anyone mention Carry On in so long. I first think of the daffodil in Carry On Nurse ending. Have to get dvds out again for some needed humor around here.

Don't be looking for me and Bob do be checking them out. Hell, I'm wondering if we are even in the right thread anymore? It's like on Seinfeld and those "European carry-alls"........any way you cut it they are still a damn purse.
We have guys lookin' up men's little dresses over here......little dress shoppers with links to their "favorites" on the net and little dress wearers......what the hell happened to this place? My guess is not enough bacon hormones for some here? Get yourself some damn Farm Pants and act like a man! Grill a steak, fry some bacon and forget the little girly outfits......"not that there is anything wrong with it, of course."

It would be fun, but I can't find a way to pull the data for how many posts by each member who has participated here.

Your insecurity in your manhood is showing Jim.

It isn't a dress or a skirt, it is a kilt.

A manly man such as Sean Connery rocks one here:

Are you man enough to tell him to his face it looks silly?

Four vehicles?

There is the TT, the Jeep, and the Dodge pickup.

What is the fourth one?
Mrs Rupert's 2005 Ford Escape. Today Kat is detailing it.....waxing it and doing all the leather inside. She keeps it looking like new and I make sure it stays like new mechanically......though it is certainly time for a new car for Mrs Rupert. That's the thing about keeping them up so well....you hate to get rid of them for something unknown.

Perhaps they should do like the folks in New Orleans did and build a wall with gates and giant pumps.
Won't work in Houston as it might for Galveston. Houston has pockets of low level but not much with coastal flooding.

Houston floods quite often, just not like it has due to the hurricane. State laws prevent any building ordinances that might prevent future flooding....which sounds crazy...because it is! Somewhere "fierce independence" has bumped common sense out of the picture. My bet is that the growing expense will deliver a dose of reason sooner than later.

locally NRDs shut down building in flood zones
dug the creeks deeper then added levees to the ditches
added dams and resulting lakes to just about every waterway under their control
they continue to plan and build dams...similar to a tiered defense

pissed a lot of folks off but the annual floods don't happen any longer

Ya, kilts are bloody expensive. I've got one borrowed from cadets, but I don't like it.
When I stop growing I'll get myself a good kilt.
I've thought of getting a Utilikilt for every-day wear, the other option is a Sport Kilt: Stylish, Comfy Modern Kilts for Sporting & Relaxation
buy a pattern and sew one up

a side of upholstery leather or a few yards of cotton duck is quite affordable
in your case kill a grizzly or an elk and bob's your uncle

we do have a local carpenter who wears a kilt, usually leather
