The 24 hour clock.

Funny thing about that place.

The have rejected the metric system, yet it pervades with the French made drills I use.

And they try to confuse us by using the 24 hour clock in the time system we use for recording out daily time, but using the 12 hour clock when using the shop floor system that we use to document the build.

And the systems are interlinked to push labor charging into the time recording, billing and payroll systems.

It is now 0853, and I need some bacon, and another cup of coffee.

24 hour clock avoids confusion. Or I might turn up for tea at four in the morning.

I've never "been here" before so I don't know what to expect or when to expect it? That is one of the most troubling parts about this....you are flying in total darkness without instruments.....hoping and praying you crash well, and fast. You guys can hope and pray for me too.....I'll be honored if you do!
Always Jim.

Don't you know that tea is at 3:40, that is, 1540.

Y'all have a problem telling day from night down there?
Must be from living upside down.

AKA military time, unless you live in New York, that's fast time.

Thanks Mark! This topic has been lingering in this thread for several months now....and I suspect it is a subject that won't be missed when it is over. No one can be more tired of it all than me, but as I said, there is no road map or timetable that I can go by or plan upon. I'd like to pop up and tell you guys that I've made a miraculous recovery...but I assure you, that is not a possibility.

I can't judge how others are viewing this ongoing conversation of death and dying......my oldest son told me last night that I am not "fighting hard enough". His view from a couple of thousand miles away is not very relevant to me and not very well founded on any reality that he apparently "doesn't see"?

I'm hoping some here that have not contemplated their "end" might do so before the "last minute". There is so much to do now and so little time....I should have planned better in some areas, and I think I would feel more at ease now if I had. Maybe some will think of that and be ahead of the task if they get in my situation? If any good comes from my posts on this, I will be thankful...if not, I do offer my sincere apology for opening an unpleasant topic.

Anyhow...as for "not fighting hard enough"....this little female Cardinal landed in front of me this afternoon to show me what a damn squirrel playing "Tail Gunner" did to her. She can fight all she wants...but her tail is still gone. I've lost my ass too..and am not to dumb to know it...and it ain't coming back!

"I was just flying by, I had no idea the damn squirrels were playing War Games with live ammo."

"Now every time I take off I go in a damn circle!"

]"When poor old Rupert is gone, I hope all those freeloading squirrels he has supported for years all starve to death!"

Regards!

Yep...some of the male Cardinals are already telling jokes about "knocking off a little tail"......Maybe they will learn, like humans, that funny is not always funny.....we guys are mostly all guilty of at least some bad taste at the expense of the opposite sex. I hope it is not worse than that....force or forceful manipulation is a sickness I would not want to be associated with. I consider it the same as animal abuse, child abuse, or abuse of the elderly.......and bet you guys, knowing you as I do, feel the same way. This is not a political statement or view, this is a view we as men should all share regardless of any politics, religion, or other affiliation.
Humor is not in violation of good taste.....when Mrs Rupert pushes you down a long flight of stairs and breaks you all to hell, gets you fired, and her husband comes lookin' for you,,,then you know it was worse than just bad taste! ( Yep, there is a Rupert Story from long ago in that little sentence!

.......Well, I got to use a little of my time this afternoon on this post.....it gets boring here mid-afternoon in my little office, so thanks for the space to spend some of that time here with you guys. Can someone change the channel now......the Bacon Channel has a special at 4pm......let's watch it!

So New York can't keep up?

Guess that means we lap them every now and then, right?

Well, you gotta keep fighting, of course. The alternative does not bear thinking about!

Actually, tea is at 0645, 0900, 1000, 1230, 1530, 2000 and 2200. Unless it's coffee. Or beer. Or wine.
