Geoffrey Boycott complimenting the Australian play of test cricket as it should be - patient building huge totals that demoralise the opponents. And also having real pace bowlers. The commentators are now asking if the England selectors should have rotated players through the team to overcome complacency. As at time of writing.

The weather in Sydney, where the cricket is, is rather warm. In the western suburb of Penrith it has got to 47.3C. Near the city centre, near the cricket, and on the coast side of the ridge along which the Pacific Highway goes it got to 43.4C.

Real estate east of the Pacific Highway is more expensive than to the west because this temperature disparity is common.

My oldest son is career Air Force active reserves. His hobby and side business is saddle making and leather work.
I thought I'd show off the saddle bags he made for a customer.
The guy wanted a holster built in for his .38 special.

The look and feel of hand tooled leather has always impressed me. I did leather work in shop class in middle school. Made some belts, and a couple of wallets.

Fun stuff.

were those pommel bags or saddle bags...did he say?

"horse" pistols were often carried on the pommel or in a bag
last year I saw a setup that was a smallish bag on one side and the flapped holster on the other
the dealer was saying it was original
