Mrs Bob is a NCIS junkie, but I just can't get into it, or should say them.

Thank you! But you really shouldn't mention photo related stuff in this thread. It's just for other stuff. Lots of stuff. Almost any stuff. But not photo stuff.

Thanks - I think...

The next shuttle bus was also cancelled, something about a semi that blocked the road. So we ended up taking a different one. Not as convenient, but it got us home.

In the mean time I picked up some bottles of shoe polish at the airport. Couldn't resist a South African one named "Rupert & Rotschild" - I really didn't know old Rupert was involved in the shoe polish business. I'll think of him when I drink it.

At least the road closure was not the result of those unruly police choosing to have an incident on a public road, instead of following proper instructions to have all their incidents in private land - like the police station car park or a farmer's field.

I like his videos. Finnish M39 Mosin Nagant - YouTube
At one time I had the Finnish M27, M28, M91, some Finn captured M91/30's and two more M39's. Mostly all gone now.

If you take the short drive up to Rochester, NY, I'll let you shoot the M39 for free. I also have an old Finn compass, but I do not have a puukko yet. I really need one of those. They are pretty handy in the field.

I love the old Nagants. I have the 91/30 and the M44. I had the Nagant model 1895 revolver but it was stolen back in 2011 when my house was broken into. They caught the illigal Mexicans but I did not get anything back. I hate theives. I still have the holster for the pistol and 2 spam cans of ammo for the rifles but it has been a few years since I have shot them. Both have the bayonets and the M44 has matching numbers except for the bolt for what that is worth.

Just stumbled across some snowmobile images on Flickr - not taken with a K-3 (but rather a K-5). I suppose the water is somewhat less cold in summer, but also somewhat more wet...
