Here it’s sort of like this, (except at a gun show, where you skip to the end):
ME: I want to buy this (longarm / shotgun / sidearm).
Dealer: OK. Ever do anything bad? Owe any Child Support? Owe any taxes?
ME: No, no and no.
Dealer: Just a moment - (enters my number in computer) - Cool then. Cash, check or Credit Card.
What I do with the firearm after that is entirely my concern, but I bet I’m more concerned with safeing and safe storage than most jurisdiction’ most restrictive ordinances.
