I can relate. The foot surgery I had a year and 2 months ago was supposed to take 3 months to get me recovered enough to get back to work.

Eight months later I was in a work hardening program, and 2 months after that I was finally back to light duty, and nearly a year after surgery I was finally working full duty again.

Doctors.

Sheesh.

All on American made planes.
This is the type of plane they are flying on today.

A Boeing 737-900ER.

Awesome planes.

Taking Mrs. Racer and one of her sisters to the airport this morning, they are going to New Orleans, then driving to Pensacola to visit Mrs. Racer’s daughter, son in law and grandson, then they will drive to the Keys for a week or so before returning to New Orleans to fly home.

All on American made planes.

Pensacola Naval Air Station has a nice museum with lots of pretty planes to look at.

Crazy I know, but it's Saturday here too.
Sun's out, 42F headed to 57F.
Finally nice enough to take down the outside Christmas lights, etc.
Have fun batching it Racer.
Not sure what is worse; 42F or 40C? I think that I prefer the cold

Bacon, and bacon crumbles on the eggs, with some round, juicy red things.

Looks tasty.

So, my cousin is coming over here tomorrow. He's having a tough time right now at home, so I'm taking him and my folks to lunch at one of my favourite local eateries... Downey's, which serves (in my view) the best fish & chips in the North East of England, and possibly in the whole country (unless you go in for that expensive designer cuisine, of course):

http://www.downeysfishandchips.co.uk/downloads/Downeys%20Place%20Mat%20Combined.pdf

I usually go for the large Haddock meal deal... battered fish, chips (not "crisps", not "potato fries", but good old fat English "chips" ), mushy peas, tartare sauce, bread and butter, and tea with milk. Huge plates of fresh, tasty, well-cooked food. Inexpensive too. Followed by a short and invigorating walk along the local coastline. Can't wait

I think that's banned under the Geneva Convention, to post about good fish and chips to Canadians who can't get any!

I'm impressed and delighted that you're informed of the delicacy, Bert

It's not fancy eating, but it's big here locally, and one of my favourite treats. Not for every day, nor every week even (or waistlines would suffer badly ), but I try to partake every few weeks. Never disappoints
