Hey, "my" banners are up promoting an exhibition in Nantes, France They've placed those viking ships onto a picture I snapped with the GR on a foggy day here in Oslo.

I expect more respect from you rabble now that I'm a pro!

I believe a statue would be more suitable.

And keep those darts away, young man

Cocky? Me?

I'm Norwegian, remember. We're humble. We're the humblest in the world!

I will take that exactly the way it was intended

I was thinking more along the lines of "Your Highness", but be rude if you must

But I'll settle for "Your Cockiness" in this company

And thanks, all! It's fun to see the result - but it was, as I said, just a snapshot I took as an experiment when it was too foggy to see anything anyway.

I think he is an imposter

And not from Norway

All folks from Norway are currently in South Korea cheering on their Olympic teams

Nah, I've registered that there are some people sliding around on snow over there, and that there are some Norwegians sliding faster or better or whatever. I see it as yet more proof that the six months called "winter" are an utter waste of time and completely useless for doing anything meaningful. So people spend this time sliding around on snow. There is an annual long-distance cross-country skiing thing here which they limit to 16,000 participants. With those numbers it's hardly surprising that some of them get good at it

Birkebeinerrennet - Wikipedia

Me, I spend that time here on PF - and one might say that I'm getting quite good at it

I once saw Mac Davis perform in one of Reno's casinos:

OH LORD IT'S HARD TO BE HUMBLE Lyrics - MAC DAVIS | eLyrics.net

MAC DAVIS
Oh Lord It's Hard To Be Humble Lyrics

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way.

I can't wait to look in the mirror cause I get better looking each day.

To know me is to love me I must be a hell of a man.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble, but I'm doing the best that I can.

I used to have a girlfriend but I guess she just couldn't compete

with all of these love starved women who keep clamoring at my feet.

Well I prob'ly could find me another, but I guess they're all in awe of me.

Who cares, I never get lonesome cause I treasure my own company.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way

I can't wait to look in the mirror cause I get better looking each day.

To know me is to love me, I must be a hell of a man.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble, but I'm doing the best that I can.

I guess you could say I'm a loner,a cowboy outlaw tough and proud.

I could have lots of friends if I want to, but then I wouldn't stand out from the crowd.

Some folks say that I'm egotistical. Hell, I don't even know what that means.

I guess it has something to do with the way that I fill out my skin tight blue jeans.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way,

I can't wait to look in the mirror cause I get better looking each day.

To know me is to love me. I must be a hell of a man.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble, but I'm doing the best that I can.

[ all together now ]

We're doing the best that we can

Yes, I know - I'm a pro, after all. But a humble one. Very humble. One could almost say self-effacing.

And you forgot the "Your Highness"
