but have you ever done something to your equipment that really scares you?

and here is an example why this forum is so great

I have another boo boo, WARNING and seeking help - Page 3 - PentaxForums.com

I need bacon

lots and lots of bacon

and Single Malt Scotch

and bag pipe music

can anyone help me out on the bag pipes
Yeah, that was an ouch... But I see the local heroes helped you out. Hopefully you find a solution for the hood, too, be it with glue or by obtaining a new one.

But back on topic:

No bacon today, but cured ham, chorizo, and ham and cheese filled tortellini with home made pesto. And some shoe polish, of course.

As usual there won't be any pictures. No pictures = no calories.

How do those things work when the players aren't blowing into them?

Irish pipes have the "airbag" (or whatever it's called) held under the piper's arm - he/she then (energetically!) pumps the thing by swinging the arm outwards from the body and then back again (cue: arthritis &/or RSI in the shoulder in 20yrs time ).

I have only one problem with ham.
When we have ham I will eat it until.....
a: There's none left
or
b: I'm so full that I'm miserable.
I have really good willpower.
Except when it comes to ham.

I'd say they probably work better when no-one is blowing into them.
In fact, they probably work best when left alone in the back of a dark cupboard!
