Ah well, we must all be gracious and accept that none of us own this thread, and it will sometimes venture into topics that don't interest everyone. But I agree that lavatorial humour is not funny. Not being able to trust a fart is SERIOUS !!!

Nice. Two essential food groups, served as an ideal combination

Lamb chops, buttery mashed potatoes and garden peas for me. Tasty. No photos, I'm afraid. No beer, either... I ate quite early... but the later part of the evening was enhanced with a couple of glasses of inexpensive but rather nice 2012 Gran Reserva Valdepeñas... so the edges have been nicely rounded off

Took Mrs. Racer out for dinner for her birthday today. Sushi Belt And Roll, one of those places where the food comes around on a conveyor. We feasted, lots of sushi and sake, and then I bought her some more rose bushes for the garden. On the way home I stopped and got some chocolate cheesecake and chocolate fudge brownie ice cream for dessert.

Just finished that and now I'm getting ready to grout the backsplash tile I set last weekend in the lavatory I added to the upstairs room. I grouted the backsplash around the wet bar sink last night after work. Turned out pretty good for a rank amateur that has never set tile before.

And all the other work is looking pretty good to. The cabinets, pocket door, finish trim, fixtures, etc.

Nice one mate. I'm not sure I would have been up for tile grouting after chocolate cheesecake and chocolate fudge brownie ice cream.

What is the optimum weight of a fart?

0.0 grams...............................otherwise we’re not talking fart.

Gases do have mass. Remember a school 'experiment' to measure the mass of a volume of air in a flask.

Are you referring to the problem of a 'heavy fart'?

In other news.
Our nearly 10 year old yellow lab broke a tooth chewing on an antler chew.
Extraction next week, with teeth cleaning included, $584.
Thankfully she has shown no signs of pain.
Bert, guess what time her appointment was yesterday.
2:30, I kid you not.

That price is more than I paid for a private (100% me paying) specialist to do a tooth extraction last year - on me.

I was only pointing out the similarity of the conversation with those that we all participated in in the days when we were noticeably shorter than we are now.

White stuff has been falling from the sky over night.

GoogleMaps shows many of the roads in orange. I hope all will be well - I want to go to Oxford in the morning and then to Swindon to visit a friend who is only in country for a few days, arriving today and leaving Tuesday. He will be going to somewhere else tonight. So, not sure what is going to happen.

Visiting my son and daughter in law in Omaha this weekend

Arrived late Friday night and had to immediately discuss issues with manager by phone

Chose pet friendly motel, charged extra $, no problem, but written notice at desk

NO DOGS ALLOWED IN ROOM ALONE

What the ????

manager told me that dog might be destructive

I said dog would be sleeping in pet kennel if no one was in room

He said that dog might bark

I told him dog has barked 5 times since we got it and that when I booked room and specifically asked about having dog no one had mentioned this

He started to respond and I cut him off

I told him that I was an attorney ---

He interrupted, and said that if we left cell numbers and agreed to come if there was a problem

I said sure

If it hadn't been bad weather and late at night, I would have told him where to stick his motel

Next day different location I had to explain to the waitress at the bar what a black and tan - Guinness stout and ale was?

Doesn't anyone order good drinks any more

Any how we all had a good visit

And the dog, a Japanese chin, never barked while we were gone, we were told
