I knoooow! I don't really look like one either. You know. A 6'4" skinhead with a once-a-week (or so) trimmed grey beard... But man do I look cool when I don my sunglasses and camo cap and set off on my kick bike!

110HP Case Steam Tractor Pull Pinckneyville Illinois August 15 2014 - YouTube

I saw a guy driving one of those on the street in the town where I live this morning. His was a little smaller, but he was using it as a street drive in amongst all the other traffic.

Thread topic → “Why I won't buy the K-3: Satire”
Actual discussion → Barbecue, coupes, steam tractors, and valley girls.

Question → Were those pictures/videos shot with a K-3, or a K-5s?

More importantly, will the new lenses for the K-1 II say, “Ricoh” on them?

Are you trying to cause trouble?

Oh, and originally the thread title, created by the Great One, did not include the word 'satire'. That was added aftre some miscreants whined that the discussion had gotten seriously off track.

Off track?

What do they know?

Since there was a considerable outpouring from non-regular regulars here, the thread was allowed to remain, albeit with the added word to the title.

By the way, nice shades dude. I used to have a pair just like them. Now I wear prescription glasses, and can't seem to find someone to make me some, with safety lenses, as I am required to wear safety glasses in The World's Largest Building, where I am one of thousands who build these.

Next time, bring bacon.

I remember. I have been absent for awhile and just came back. Saw this thread at the top and thought it was something new. Looked at the first page and thought, “I remember this thread, and I didn't think it was satire back then.”

Got my K-3 now, and waiting for the next APS-C flagship. In the meantime, don't mind getting to 60,000 posts for the K-1 II. Willing and ready to go full frame, but happy to stay APS-C. Also willing to pay US$500 to upgrade my K-3 to the K-3 III with accelerator chip, Dynamic PixelShift, etc. ;-)

A sign from Rupert?
I'm sitting on the deck this evening when I spot a tiny spider building a web attached to the umbrella.
Anchor points already set out, so it's going in and out from the center point, then round and round to fill it in.
This gets me to thinking about Rupert and his pet office spider.
At this time I saw movement out of the corner of my eye, looked up and it's a squirrel peeking over the edge of our gutter.
He/she did this 3 or 4 times, I tried to get a shot with my cell phone, but couldn't.
Stepped out and got this one though.
Believe what you want, I take it as a sign from our friend.
