can I vent

hearing no objection

here it goes

I have an 2015 Audi A 5 it developed a problem, throwing codes when accelerating, EPC, Traction Control, Tire Pressure warning and then severe loss of power

had it towed to dealership and service in Kansas City Mo.

their report, the gasoline was contaminated with water

' looked like lemonade '

fuel pump contaminated

fuel needs to be drained and pump replace

NO WARRANTY COVERAGE because of contaminated fuel, told to complain to gas station

I use Shell - premium no alcohol

the gas station says they have had no reports of problems

newly installed pumps

recent inspected

In the ancient days when I used to manage a Texaco gas station we had a long ruler to "dip" the tanks. We had a chart to convert inches of fuel to gallons remaining. We used to smear a chemical on the bottom of the stick If there was any water at the bottom of the tank (there is always a few inches of it) the chemical would turn pink. Changing pumps has no effect on what is in the tanks. Never buy gas if the delivery truck is there. This stirs up the gas and mixes the water in the bottom with the gas higher up. It quickly settles out.

I am fortunate that I can get regular gasoline with no ethanol added. Better gas mileage and fewer problems with my lawn mower, generator etc.

Sorry to hear that, sounds like an expensive fix.
Best guess, vandalism, or an old jilted girl friend.

That's a "town car" Bert. You need the unimog as well! Or a Series 1 Landrover. I'm not fussy!
Personally I prefer an early Series IIa (2.25 engine, lights still in the middle). Pretty much any Unimog (except 404) I'm game for.
No computers, like that Tesla either

vehicle kept in locked garage

so no one has access

now, it has been parked from time to time at other places and there is no locking gas lid

so it is possible

Do you have any razor blades Brother?
I do, however I'm finding there not working particularly nicely, the shave is a bit rough and not very close, also the blades are only lasting 1 good shave and maybe 2 bad ones. Perhaps it's my cheap eBay razor. Blades are Wilkinson Sword and we've got a couple hundred of them (it was cheaper that way). Any recommendations, I like a close shave, and my hairs are rather on the wispy side.

Lights on the sides look good to me, especially the right side.

Put some honey on your face and let the goats lick them off.

Back during the 1970's I had a locking gas cap. Nowdays, most of us are at the mercy of just about everyone.
Where's the gas cap on one of these?

It's under the seat, quite hidden from view:

Oh, that's nasty. Difficult to prove. And they may have new pumps, but they probably have old tanks.

Like 1950's cars.

The gas caps are hidden in all sorts of places. On Fords, behind the licence plate.

On Cadillacs, behind the one rear light cluster.

Some of them can't even wait to be bought and delivered. They simply fly out of the showroom and crash into solid objects.

Yeah, that autonomous mode is great.

And yes, "want" may be a bit too strong.

Drat. At least they don't have to have it towed back to the dealership.

That's for sure.

How strongly (more or less than other feelings) depends on the individual person.
I don't think everyone would have reacted like that, but then again, 1984 is pretty pessimistic on the nature of man...
Well, I think Orwell thought that good people don't start that way, they get driven there by the effects of authoritarianism.

He *was* pessimistic rather than utopian when he wrote it ... his last novel, and he was dying of TB.
