Thanks Mark, we do too.
She's resting well now after a small meal of rice and yogurt.
I hope she's OK soon. We do worry when our four legged friends are unwell.
Just last week, our one cat, Milo, needed a trip to the vet after a wound from fighting with a neighbours cat became infected. While we have free health care for humans, we don't for pets, sadly, so it's going to cost me! (I've not received the bill yet but it was general anesthetic, cutting, draining and antibiotics, so it won't be cheap.)

The good news is that they didn't hold Milo for ransom until the bill was paid.
Here you pay when you leave. Today it was almost $200, but less than I thought it might be.

We had a vet that tried that - I now use their competition. These ones are friendlier, cheaper and much more professional. I'm expecting a bill of around $150 - $200.

Our cats are indoor cats, so the current theory is that my buddy Leila bit Velcro.
I'd have a chat to your friends if they're the type who bite your cat. I could understand licking it, but biting is taking it to another level.

Today is a bit better. With the humidity down, 34 is actually feeling like 34...but I am stuck in office hell all day so AC is where it's at. Maybe a lunchtime walk in the shade.

My office has AC. When you turn it on the papers on the desk blow away.

Must turn it off before leaving in the evening (the rules) because they are worried about visitations from pigeons.

Do you get your electricity piped in?
Eh? As in water pipes?

Long story, we spent the whole afternoon at the pet hospital since our vet's office is closed for the holiday.
Our birthday girl, after a good start this morning, got worse, could not lay down for a second without popping back up.
Vitals checked out good, they gave her a couple of fluid injections under the skin of her back for dehydration, with meds for nausea and pain.
She looks like a 2 hump camel. Going to her regular vet tomorrow if not better. She's one tired pup, zonked out at home now.
There's about a half dozen or more possibilities for the problem, x-rays, blood tests, etc would be needed and a very good chance of no real diagnoses.
No barbecue today, shooting for tomorrow.
Hope you find out what's wrong with her and get it sorted, Bob. One of the frustrating things with our four-legged family members is that they can't tell us what's wrong.
