So here is how I really feel about meat substitutes.

First, they are generally highly processed, which is something I tend to avoid. Fresh food is always best.

Second, a person adopts the vegan lifestyle to avoid meat. Why buy a highly processed vegetable based meat substitute. Sounds contradictory.

Third.

We are evolved to be omnivores. A balanced diet, which includes animal protein.

We can only hope.

The guy is an idiot, and deserves to get taken out of the gene pool.

Oh, and someone needs to take away his man card.

And kick him in the nards.

Jack Daniels in anything other than a fifth is un American.

In fact, it is un Tennessee.

Tennessee.

The Volunteer state.
And they distill it in a dry county! The only thing they can offer visitors at the distillery is a glass of lemonade!

Probably not a nice thing to think but I agree fully, since he is like the sunflower tramplers referenced in another thread about idiots here on the forums.

something of note from Adam:

Guys, I've been getting some complaints from users who are experiencing disruptions in their browsing experience due to a flood of posts, mostly in the photo-sharing sections. While I'm excited by the enthusiasm and increased level of participation, I'd like to ask everyone to refrain from posting just to raise that progress bar

"Brute forcing" the counter is definitely not in the spirit of the giveaway, and while it hadn't been an issue in prior months, I may add a cap on spikes in activity if we continue receiving such feedback.

Thanks in advance!

I noticed this imitation bacon is made from soybeans.

Here is how I like my soybeans:

Usually as an appetizer before having sushi. lightly steamed in the husk, sprinkled with salt. They go well with sake.

They also make a great snack.

I just keep coming back to this. Don't ask me why.

Splatters of hot bacon grease are something that one never forgets.
Best to wear clothes when frying bacon. I won't tell you how I know this.

It's a museum near/in the center of the Michelin factories at Clermont-Ferrand.

L?Aventure Michelin : un lieu, une histoire, un avenir

Some neat stuff and a cool video about how modern tires are made.

L'Aventure Michelin - dossier de presse

Plus I learned more about the "Michelines" ... small trains on tires and rail combos ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micheline_(railcar)

I will post some images later so as to run-up the post counter

Don't leave out steam burns, the most painful IMO.
There's a lot of latent heat in steam and a lot of energy is released when steam at 100C is transformed to water at 100C.

I believe that it's a globe. I can see the curvature of the earth when I look out of my office window. Not now, because it's dark. Just during the day time and when the horizon isn't obscured by clouds.
