I remember the George Burns and Gracie Allen shows - very "1950's American TV", and rather "hammy" (can't get bacon into this post, but "close"!)
PS: personally, I preferred the Bilko shows

I haven't researched it but suspect the term Fall comes from what tree leaves do in Autumn.
Also, shouldn't youse guys spell it Autumun?
Hi Bob

Why would you expect a u in Autumn to make Autumun ...strange thinking

Don't foget you lot take out letters in words.....

Rember colo'U'r and many others/

I suspect this changing of spelling coinsided with inderpendence or ink was in short supply

Don't get me going on the subject of "Aluminium" v "Aluminum", "Colour" v "Color", "Labour" (not the Corbyn version!) v "Labor", etc., - you guys take letters out as well!
And, as for taking out the "r" in "forget", that "takes the biscuit" (not the "cookie" - doesn't sound right!)

Nothing like a good paddling Dave....peameal bacon in Darth Smoker tonight was divine. We were supposed to have chicken but it was taking too long, so the roast was summonsed instead. Oh yeah, and bread was cooked for the first time in the mighty outdoor oven that is Darth. Duly impressed. I will try that again.

The Koreans have a single word for Tinted Autumnal Leaves that you can make into an action verb by adding a suffix! Pretty cool, huh?

So that action verb means that a person causes leaves to change color??
That would be one heck of a word! No, When made into a verb, it means to go and leaf peep by going out to see the tinted autumnal leaves.
