I ordered liver and onions at Phil's the other night, and was happy to read the description where it says it comes with a piece of bacon on top. I was even more pleased when it actually came with two pieces of bacon!

I posted a WWII vintage Willys Jeep for you the other day, and not so much as a thanks.
Some more of that Willys Jeep for Bert.

It isn't Canadian though.

Sorry, eh?

The dashboard accessory is far more useful than satnav!

It is a father/son restoration project. I chatted with them at length about it. Very interesting story.

not that most of us would own one (I own two of them), but one of my K-3's ran over 90,000 shutter actuations today...

There was lots of details about them finding the Jeep, and all the research and acquisition of the bits to manage an accurate restoration. They both sounded very knowledgeable about this vintage of Jeep, and its use in the war.

For instance the sticker on the windshield details everything an operator must do before and after a water crossing. The material used to seal the ignition was a putty filled with asbestos.

I talked with them several times that afternoon, and if I had better memory, or if I had the presence of mind to have taken notes, I could write a book with all they related about the Jeep, and military vehicles.

Although they are certain this Jeep is one used for the war, they couldn't document any specific war theater use.

Every year the barbecue is a bit different. There are always vehicles there I have not seen before.

When I saw that Jeep the first thing I thought about was you.

You're welcome.

The dashboard accessory looks rather challenging to get quick access. Certainly not a ready for use kind of access.

Did it do any damage to the 90,000 actuations when it ran over them?
