Producers?

Quite a feat considering coffee doesn’t grow anywhere outside of about 23 degrees North or South of the Equator.

Perhaps you meant to say Canada is one of the top ten consumers of coffee.
It was a cut and a paste

I just learnt that caffeine can increase one's sense of motivation (yeah, trying to motivate myself to do some work...). Complete hogwash, of course, since it sent me off to find out how much coffee we actually consume - and that didn't really help me getting any work done

Anyway, I guess it is probably more correct to say that caffeine is essential to survive long and dark winters, the top cunsumers being
1. Finland - 12kg per capita per year
2. Norway - 9.9
3. Iceland - 9
4. Denmark - 8.7
5. Netherlands - 8.4
6. Sweden - 8.2

(I'm guessing the Dutch need to clear their heads.)

More at Mapped: The countries that drink the most coffee
Those are all non-coffee consumers. We go through at least 25-30 kg a year at my house!

And if I may say, that's 37 gallons of water used wisely. I'm a stickler for keeping myself clean and odour-free, but if I had to give up a few showers here and there to ensure continued production of my favourite coffee, I could live with that. The opposite would be a living hell...

Are you sure?

When was the last time you rode on the tube?

Wow. I wonder if that has a beneficial effect on the bacon??

The Japanese think it is good for growing beef. Gives them an excuse for charging extra.

My cycle's a bit weird right now... I tend to get up around 7am, some days by 2 - 3pm I'm feeling pretty exhausted and uncomfortable from the arthritis inflammation, so I lie down and doze for a couple of hours. As a result, I'm wide awake until midnight or even later.

I was never a fan of the tube, but I used it infrequently until 7/7. I'm pretty sure I never used it again after that...

I quite like the tube.

Except for the odour emanating from many of the other patrons.

I was pretty much flying over it at that time on 7/7 on a Lufthansa flight from FRA to Dulles. I heard about it while waiting for my connecting flight from Dulles to Rochester NY. When I checked in in Adelaide for ADL-SIN + SIN-FRA + FRA-Dulles +Dulles-Rochester the check-in clerk (there were such people in those days) asked how I got an itinerary like that.

Right back at ya!

I think in one of his last posts, on this thread, he hinted about going to the UK. Scotland perhaps?
He's mentioned going there with his family in the past.

Yep, worked like a charm

That does not exclude the possibility of you doing something wrong, though!
