Completely impractical, but I would totally drive a Series 1 around.
Somewhat resembles a Churchill tank

A Land Rover is a more practical size.

I've seen some around, quite a few when I was up Whitehorse for the summer (4 or 5), they all had German plates.

This thread is the last remaining outpost of the "free world" where you could get away with saying that... eh?

When Mrs. Racer 2.0 was relating her 2 week long visit to the Hawaiian Islands she told me we would have to plan a trip.

I told her I would be delighted to go.

Watch out for the gear stick.

As it happens, that's what I thought I'd broken. Accelerating too quickly without thinking

But hey, the truck driver has already made convertibles out of them for you.

It ain't the building of them that bothers me.

Its the nitwits that maintain and fly them, and the narrow minded souls who seek to remove them and their occupants from the skies.

Oh, and there is something about feeling like a sardine, crammed in a metal tube with a few hundred other sardines that I am not fond of.

I'd love to be wealthy enough to own my own jet, maybe one of these:

I would go lots of places then, even to your part of the world.

On my schedule.

And I would fly it myself.

I would even take you for a ride in it.
