Good morning everyone; happy hump day! Forgot the laptop at home so I took over a colleague's office. He doesn't need it, the guy is in Bali...lucky him.

No, that would be totally unlike you, wouldn't it.

-5°C this morning, going to go down towards the weekend, they say. At least it keeps the snow from turing into slush.

Strange how -5°C feels so cold when the temp's dropping, but is t-shirt weather at the end of winter.
-5C here, felt warm after two weeks below -10C, but not quite t-shirt weather yet.
Also almost 6 inches of snow since yesterday, prevented us from driving into town to see the local orchestra
No visibility on the road, icy, trucks on coming in the middle of the road...

And if you were Norwegian, you would humbly disagree

Having hemorrhoids is better than hearing bagpipes.

A member on my bbq forum posted this, his daughter made the video, she's trying to find out its purpose.
No one on the forum has an answer yet, any guesses here?

My mother always was able to answer questions like this. In her own words: "It's the thingamabob that does the job". Miss you mom.

It is tolerable sitting in the doctor's office waiting room unless other customers come in and start doing obnoxious things, such as disgorging dinner into plastic bags affixed to rigid plastic rings with handles.
At the podiatrist office they almost always get me into the exam room straight away, no sitting in uncomfortable waiting room chairs reading months old magazines.

Yesterday the assistant got me into the cast room, where they are set up to remove and place splints and casts. She removed the splint I had been in for a week, and I reclined comfortably while waiting for the doctor to return from surgery.

And, I have to say, in 60 odd years of sitting in doctor office waiting rooms I cannot recall ever seeing anyone regurgitate into a bag, or even on the floor.
