His chant was:
peanuts peanuts peanuts peanuts, in rapid succession
but it sounded like something else (hint, drop the t)

Yes, the pen-is mightier than the sword, Bob!

We had a live music program in my youth called Countdown, except one afternoon the first letter 'O' in the background display stopped working. Unfortunate.

I'm still on crutches. Won't be even close to weight bearing until mid to late January.

I did a quick timelapse of the comet tonight.

They messed up on the forecast. It was supposed to be cloudy. It is not. I'm not complaining about it either.

At the podiatrist office they almost always get me into the exam room straight away, no sitting in uncomfortable waiting room chairs reading months old magazines.

Yesterday the assistant got me into the cast room, where they are set up to remove and place splints and casts. She removed the splint I had been in for a week, and I reclined comfortably while waiting for the doctor to return from surgery.

And, I have to say, in 60 odd years of sitting in doctor office waiting rooms I cannot recall ever seeing anyone regurgitate into a bag, or even on the floor.

Fortunately I only remember seeing the disgorging happen twice: once at my GPs office, and the other time at the walk-in waiting area for the A&E at the RAH when I had a visual effect of a strange variant of migraine. Jagged rainbows moving about. Turned out to be something to do with certain particular coffees - discovered by occasional repeat experience with different coffees. Most coffees do not have the effect on me.

I couldn't get passed the texture of the nut. Too soft and spongy.

Peanuts are supposed to be crunchy.

And the taste . . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . like wet cardboard.

There are a few things where the texture in the mouth - soft, squashy and not very wet (like a soup or stuff in sauce) makes me feel like performing link those people at the doctor's office.

They certainly are not everyone's taste. The ones here are cooking in brine so at least they are not so bland.
