Valentines Day special:

How it works is, you pay $5,000 and the police arrests you in front of your wife, the evening before Valentines day. They provide accomodation, unlimited beer and 2 rounds of golf, and drop you back at home the day after Valentines Day, blaming it all on some secret squirrel "administrative error".
Five grand to get out of buying an over priced dozen roses for $50 and an overpriced and insincere Valentine's day card for $10, and then pretend you still love her.

I dunno.

Sounds like a wash.

But wait.

Is the two rounds of golf the full 18 holes or just the front 9?

With all this talk of holes I'll pretend I'm thinking of shutter speed and aperture.

But then, I've always prefered snooker to golf!

Ah, snooker! Watched it for years on the telly. Former BBC snooker commentator ‘Whispering’ Ted Lowe was famous for his inadvertent sayings, like ‘Griffiths is snookered behind the brown, which for those of you watching in black and white is next to the pink’. He also once told viewers that snooker legend Fred Davis, struggling to rest one leg on the edge of the table in order to reach a long shot, ‘is getting on a bit and is having trouble getting his leg over’.

Be careful what you say about someone else's sport (or game) passion.

When I was at high school we had a name for soccer which was based on the suggestion that the players were wimpy because they fall over when someone runs near their shadow, unlike the players of the other football codes we knew at the time: rugby union, rugby league and football.

The name we used for soccer was not PC.

I see that BBC has picked up a story from my neck of the woods, a rather touching story about real life meeting online life.

I don't play any online games, so I guess the task of being my online family falls on you guys. Sorry

Hey! I make those same tasty treats...but without the grapes, or brie, or baquette for that matter
