I presume a Canada is a metric unit?
And converting to imperial is easy; 1 Canada is 10 US.
On second thoughts, the map is a bit inaccurate as 1 Canada (36.7 mil) is actually about 8.87 US (325.7 mil).

I'd take a pass on your bacon too.

Unfortuantely that is what you get when the supermarkets insist on making the stuff instead of buying stuff from specialist makers of each kind.

Supermarkets should revert to being purveyors, not producers.

When I want REALLY GOOD real bacon I order it from Burger's.

You get bacon from burgers?

That is like the butcher here which is called Bakers.

Yep.
We're so far into the middle of nowhere that sometimes sunrise is a day or two late.
I won't say we're a bit backwards, but a lot of people around here think Green Acres was a documentary.

But you are backward, seven hours behind even us.

Over here that's how things used to be. These days, though, it seems to get more and more like:

I'm not sure what happened to people accepting that you have to adjust your driving somewhat on slippery roads. It's especially bad when the first snow of the winter falls. It's as if people have never seen snow before. They drive like idiots, clogging up the traffic with their accidents.

This is one of the rare cases where things actually were better some decades back.

Rats, why does it feel like it's Monday?!

Oh, right....

More coffee needed!

Yes, Monday.

Comes around once a week.

After I wake up, grab a quick shower, fix breakfast and pack a lunch, I will shovel my way to the carport, start it so it will warm up, go back inside and have a cuppa joe, then make the 32 mile journey to the city and the Big Shed.

Yay.

2 years.

5 months.

2 weeks.

3 days.

I love pickled herring. There's only one brand that we can get here, but it's actually pretty good. A little sweet, maybe, but pretty good.

My mother in law (rip) was Danish she used to make me smorgasbord for my birthday including her own homemade pickled herring which was amazing (and a damn fine steak tartare sandwich as part of it as well) sadly no pictures she passed before I had anything digital and long before the mania for photographing tomorrow’s poo arose

MMMMM coffee just what I need. I’ll grab one and a bacon sandwich for my morning commute on the subway (I stopped driving to work most days. Winter I transit rest of year I bike the 17km most days (which will deal with winters bacon fat)

Interesting how we have evolved a fascination with photographing the colon preamble, and sharing it with others.

Yup, needs to form that micro-thin water layer to be slick...too cold, no water layer eh?

My Weber has thawed out and has 4 breaded chicken thighs upon it for kettle fried chicken Sunday dinner.
Yep, our BBQ was fired up yesterday and cooked three nicely marinated chicken breasts for supper.

Yep, 1 out of 5 chance you might get shot in Canada for blowing snow on someone else's driveway....is the 22% per household or per capita?

Edit - and we will say sorry after we shoot you
We don't shoot each other for this. We just build a bigger snowblower and send it back with interest. In this case revenge is truly a dish best served cold. Meanwhile our wives just look up and say "That's nice dear." They they get back to whatever they were doing. Hopefully making bacon wrapped bacon sandwiches while playing flaming bagpipes.
