Oh for poop sake ;-) ....even my 18 month old Granddaughter says poop

So we had about 10" to 12" of snow last Sunday/Monday. Brought out all the idiots that can't drive.

Over the following week it settled and the sun melted a bit of it during the day. Towards the end of the week the Weather Guessers threatened us with more beginning Friday. Panic set in and the stores, which have already been picked clean, were inundated by the unprepared citiots. Sure enough, Friday about noon or so the snow came.

We got another 5" to 6". I measured it Saturday after it quit snowing, and it was at 10" to 12" (remember, it settled during the week).

Then the sun came out, the temps dropped and it was frosty. I got the tractor out and attached the back blade, and cleared the driveway (all 800 feet) and attempted to clear the community road. Did great except for the hill. I don't have snow chains for the Ford 8N, and not having use of my right foot cannot operate the brakes on the tractor, so even though the tractor could make it up the hill while not plowing the snow (and then plow going downhill) I chickened out and didn't grade the hill.

And now the clouds are back, and it is starting to snow again.

Wasn't supposed to snow today. The Weather Guessers said it is supposed to start tomorrow.

Liars.

We are supposed to get dumped on Tues and Wed....30cm and then 20cm....working from home sounds like a great idea.

Mornings folks!
At -15°C (5°F) it's pretty warm here this morning (compared to the last week...).

Drinking a nice hot mug of coffee and eating some scones. Ready to face the day, I think...

Pickled herring from IKEA is pretty darn good.

Bought some at the local grocery store to use as ice fishing bait (the bait shop was not open over the Christmas holidays) and tried it for poops and giggles...Quite nice! I will have to try the Ikea brand some time.

Yes, Monday.

Comes around once a week.

After I wake up, grab a quick shower, fix breakfast and pack a lunch, I will shovel my way to the carport, start it so it will warm up, go back inside and have a cuppa joe, then make the 32 mile journey to the city and the Big Shed.

Yay.

2 years.

5 months.

2 weeks.

3 days.

Just short of two years now!!!

down here in Toronto it is ice pellets freezing rain and snow same storm, "Winter storm with 15 to 20 cm of snow and ice pellets, freezing rain, and strong winds Tuesday and Tuesday night.

Snow will begin early Tuesday morning. Snow will mix with or change to ice pellets later Tuesday. Strong easterly winds gusting to 80 km/h will cause reduced visibility in blowing snow. Total snowfall and ice pellet amounts of 15 to 20 cm are possible before ending Wednesday. There is also a risk of freezing rain. Travel is likely to be affected.
