When I was young I was in a youth group with a leader who had been a part-time policeman in Glasgow. He said the hoods were so thick that one was caught carrying a large copper cable, in the belief it was gold.

My sympathies Bob, I've been down with a nasty respiratory one since Monday, spent Monday in bed never got up except for the loo, Tuesday dosed myself with meds went to work made it worse, yesterday same as Monday didn't get up fever and slept, this am I had to come in and deal with things dosed myself up with meds again and found out why they say to take with food, serious gastro pain mimicking a heart attack, ate a small muffin and lay on the floor in my office until it passed. feel ok now heading home (well symptoms lurking but suppressed, will miss a fun night out with a bunch of artists writers and actors for dinner then a spoken word and rock show after, been looking forward to it for ages oh well. hopefully it clears enough to enjoy a dinner out at a supper club with friends planned a month back and prepaid

But if you eat the artists, writers and actors you should have a full enough stomach to cope with the pharmaceutical company chemicals.

He was actually very good about only dumping snow into the yard....no driveways YAY!

That's better than the attitude of the rubbish truck runners here, who miss the rubbish truck quite often, leaving the rubbish on the road around where they load the truck.

Good morning everyone! Yah, where is our young friend @bertwert

He must be enjoying his skiing to the max.

So the missus has deemed the day, "kick it while it's down" Friday; get it over with and that is one more pensionable week in the books. I think tomorrow will be a snowshoing day and Sunday a movie day; sunshine Saturday and snow pellets and rain on Sunday. Have a good one folks!

Good morning gang!
Sorry if I'm a bit surly this morning, I'm skipping my coffee and staying with a bland diet.
Things are looking up down there, not to be construed other than the way you know I intend it
Went about 11 hours last night without going.
Toast and a scrambled egg for breakfast, not sure life would be worth living without coffee, and of course, bacon.
