Anyhow, I was listening to an interview with the grandson of Hans Heysen recently, and he was recounting a conversation with his aged grandfather when Hans pointed out it was going to rain soon. Sky was as blue as it gets in the land of Oz; not a breath of wind - no indication of rain to anyone but Hans. But rain it did!!!!
Hans had spent his whole life painting landscapes and understood light - apparently the added moisture in the air drifting in darkened the colour of the air enough for him to notice; was obvious to him, but not so much to anyone else.
