When folks mention peaches, I'm always reminded of this (one of my favourite Stranglers songs):

Joking aside-

slice a peach
very thinly slice part of an onion
alternate layers in a small ramekin
microwave for a few seconds

no boiling required

Is that a rock crusher cone you are using as a fire pit?

What do you serve that as, or with, Jim? Is it a side dish to accompany barbecued meat? Sounds interesting... odd, but interesting...

So, by the way - It seems I have unwittingly surpassed 10,000 posts during the last few days. Go figure. I have posted a post in my original Welcomes and Introductions post. Just for fun.
No doubt, about 5,000 of those 10,000 posts are probably in this thread. Thanks for the laughs you lot!

You guys and your meager post counts make me feel like a post whore with my nearly 17,000 posts. Of course 9,000 of those posts are in this thread.

Now I really feel like a post whore.

It's a "I want something but I don't know what" evening snack.

I had to look up ramekin.

So here is the thing, I never liked cooked fruit but recently I found that pear cooked with brie and thinly sliced cured meat of some kind is delicious. Maybe the above recipe will change my view on peaches. I will always try something once. Even chicken's feet; now I can honestly say, I do not care for chickens feet.
