It has to be a two-way street, right? I've always shown respect and loyalty to my bosses too, including those I didn't like all that much. But there's only so much you can put up with if that isn't reciprocated, at least in some measure... Hope you get it resolved one way or another, Jim

But, in the spirit of international relations, I'll offer the following (credit to A Guide To English Back Bacon):

EDIT: I disagree with the comment about Americans taking the "fast food approach to producing bacon" (I love good quality American bacon, and there is both good and poor quality bacon here in the UK). But otherwise, this is a pretty good comparison

Smokey? Peaty? Deliciousy?? <drool>...
not quite got the canadian bacon down, Canadian Bacon (actually it is called peameal) is a brine-cured pork loin rolled in cornmeal (peameal) --then sliced (preferably thickly) and can be grilled or fried... if it is smoked but no cornmeal then that is what americans call canadian bacon... closer to british

well I've been absent due to how crazy work has been but i feel better about it after catching up here. i keep forgetting the US has no rules around minimum vacation and holiday pay etc , jim reminded me. . I've been without a receiver for 10 days so I have been doing double duty and it has been busy . things are going to stabilise middle of next week though , meanwhile i can't wait to leave and sleep for a day. ....and it is time to leave....I will check in once i awaken tomorrow..or sunday

Thanks, Eddie. I love to learn, and what could be better than combining that with bacon?

Sleep well - sounds like you've earned it

I've always believed, with regard to authority, you should respect the position and at very least show respect to the one who occupies it. To a point, that is.

I had to look that up. I'm embarrassed to say I'd never heard of a "corpse reviver", but it sounds awfully good. And not just a little strong, too

I have very limited knowledge of cocktails, less so how to prepare them, save for my favourite filthy vodka martini...

Hell, this bourbon on the rocks, former beer drinker, had to look them both up.
I think the corpse reviver would kill me, and the negroni would make me sick.
Say good night Eddie.

Grilled bird flappers for dinner tonight, so crispy they were like fried.
