I like it! Having said that, I'd never put honey bees or bumblebees under the "little bastards" designation. I love bees.
As for "yellow jackets', more correctly called Vespula germanica and Vespula vulgaris, they make good photography subjects but are evil little nutters.
They kind of remind me of our Shih Tzu...she bit my wife yesterday...just because...

Having wandered around unkempt gardens and gardens that were bare, I can say they both have their merits.

But I prefer a garden that has been allowed to grow naturally.

Provided it isn't allowed to go completely out of hand . . . . .
So you don't like a welcome mat in your garden

I collected many birds while driving big trucks.

I did hit a pheasant once, but there wasn't much left but feathers when I stopped.

Another time I hit a pigeon. It came up off the right shoulder of the freeway, flying in the opposite direction as I was driving. It hit the windscreen directly in front of where I sat. As it became apparent that it was going to hit my truck, I instinctively ducked.

When it hit the window there was a muffled "POOF!", and explosion of feathers, and then the bird rolled off to the left and bounced onto the roadway.
Funny how you duck when that happens, even when it has already happened a few times.

Again, already?
Are you heading for another tequila sunrise, or moving into the new house?

Yes.

If a girl wants the garden to be clean and bare, she must shave it (or remove the vegetation by other means) daily, for a smooth encounter. No stubble or five o'clock shadows allowed!

Welcome mat or not, I always wait for permission from the garden owner for trespass.

No K-3 required.

Whole childrens books have been written on this very issue!
Mrs. Racer 1.0 was named Brenda.

Her beaver had just the right proportion of vegetation.

One of her few saving graces.

If you like a bushy garden, perhaps you'll like nose hair extensions too.

Taking the kids, now 1/2 and 3/4 done university, to land of the Mayan people. They have been working hard and deserve a nice vacation.

We don't get the new house till the end of June.
