The poor dog had an itchy ear last night so by the time the missus and I had pinned her down and applied drops, we were wide awake. Took a couple hours to fall back asleep...zzzzz. Have a great day everyone! And I thank my lucky stars I do not live by the river.
Lake Ontario is also way to high. The new plan to control lake levels has created havoc on the south shoe the past few years. Two years ago tons of damage was done when north winds kicked up. The "joint commission" that regulates lake level said that there was nothing wrong with the plan. Just a lot of rain. Very rare event and certainly not the norm. They promised that this would not be the new norm.
Well this year the lake is way too high again. Except there has been 60% less rain. Not hearing anything from the commission though. Now the lake is so high that in order to release enough water to reduce the level, there would be a lot of flooding down stream. So far the new plan has been a disaster for all but the shipping interests.
