Actually, I retired the 8N from mower duty a couple years ago. Now I have a dedicated tractor just for the mower. An early 1970's Kubota 2 cylinder diesel. It has more torque than the 8N, so it can handle the 6 foot finish mower, no sweat.

And now the 8N does the gravy work. Raking or grading the driveway, clearing snow from the driveway and community road, pulling a 3 point aerator to keep that big lawn breathing well, and all manner of traction work, including hauling the annual winter tree mess down to the river.

That's in greeat shape; nice looking tractor!

I tried it in South Africa. Even though I don't like hights it was really good fun - felt completely safe when strapped in and hooked up (bracing myself for what Bob might post to illustrate that...). Enjoy!
